When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and mobile number. While you read, we store your reading progress, highlights, and any personal notes you attach to highlights.
We use your information to provide and improve the LivingGOAT platform — to authenticate your account, save your reading progress, and deliver password reset emails. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may send transactional emails to your registered address — including account confirmation and password resets. We will not add you to marketing lists without your explicit consent.
Your data is stored securely in a hosted database (Neon/PostgreSQL) in the United States. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, including encrypted passwords and secure HTTPS connections.
Highlights and personal notes you create are stored privately and associated only with your account. They are not visible to other readers. Aggregated, anonymized reading data (such as which chapters are most-read) may be used to improve the platform.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe.
We use a single secure session cookie (lg_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
